Jin Jun Mei -- Just arrived via Air
Jin Jun Mei
Tong Mu Guan Village, Fujian is nestled between two beautiful winding river valleys, cascading dome-shaped cliffs, soaring granite spires and stunning wilderness of songbirds. This is a magical place and the original home of Jin Jun Mei, the rarest, most extravagant black tea in the world.
Jin Jun Mei is made with early spring picked pure tea buds exclusively harvested at an altitude of at least 1,800 feet high. To make 100 grams of this tea you will need 10,000 pure buds. An experienced tea picker could only pluck 2,000 buds in one day. To produce 100 grams of the tea, it will take 5 skilled tea pickers working from dawn to dusk to fulfill this micro order.
Jin Jun Mei: refinement, indulgence, and the purest expression of passion and terroir. Skillfully twisted leaves. Pure golden tips. Singular in quality. Masterfully handcrafted.
A complex, intriguing and seductive aromatic mix, with chocolate plum intrigue and a gardenia-like floral character. Then continues with vibrant and youthful structure bursting with notes of honey. Impressive concentration, depth, complexity and textural interest, spilling over the palate like a young waterfall.
