Huang Da Cha – Yellow Tea

黄大茶

The fantasy started over 400 years ago in China during the Ming Dynasty. Huang Da Cha is a yellow tea produced in Huo Shan, Anhui province, China. Huang Da Cha translates to "big yellow tea" and is distinguished by its long and big leaves. This tea is composed of one bud and three leaves. Unlike most opulent teas that are stem free, for this yellow tea, the presence of stems are by design.  The stems deliver extra sweetness and complexity reminiscent of wild strawberries.

The palate is simply electric, charged with an energy and depth of flavors that seem to defy the elegance and ethereal nature of this medium-bodied yellow tea, featuring bold nutty aromas of rice crust, along with a rich, velvety texture. Drink a sip of tea then take a deep breath in a place that takes your breath away while immersing yourself by the backdrop of towering mountains which add to the fantasy.
