Imperial Grade  Jasmine Pearl | Premium Jasmine Pearl

至尊茉莉龙珠

The journey of Premium Jasmine Pearl starts at 5,026 feet at Longdong Village in Mount Emei. Mount Emei rests at the heart of three immutable treasures of China: Buddhism, kung-fu, and tea.

Mount Emei is a mountain in Sichuan province, and it is one of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China. Emei resides at the western edge of the Sichuan Basin and it is the tallest of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains. This is the location of the first Buddhist temple built in China in the 1st century AD. The site has seventy-six Buddhist monasteries. Most of them are located near the summit. The peak of Mount Emei has an alpine sub-arctic climate, with long, frigid winters, and short, cool summers. The monthly 24-hour average temperature ranges from 5.7 °C (21.7 °F) in January to 11.6 °C (52.9 °F) in July.

In this marvel landscape, a family of Buddhist monks contemplate the journey to enlightenment guided by the doctrine of The Four Noble Truths. The Four Noble Truths house the oracle of Buddha's teachings. They are the truth of suffering; the truth of the cause of suffering; the truth of the end of suffering; and the truth of the path that leads to the end of suffering. In its basic form, suffering exists. It has a cause. It has an end. And it has a cause to bring about its end. The inclination of suffering is not intended to convey a negative world view, but rather, a pragmatic perspective that deals with the world as is and attempts to rectify it.

Dotted with Buddhist temples, soaring limestone mountains, wet rice fields, and ancient looking villages, Mount Emei is also the home to a clan of legendary warriors.  These enigmatic neighbors are the guardians of Emei Kung-fu. Carved on the wooden walls inside a secret chamber of an ancient training hall, the secrets are revealed: "Retreat as if you escape from a fire. Attack as you chase the wind. The rocks crumble and the sand rises. When tension rises, you stamp your feet, move your waist like there were no bones and move your hands like there were a thousand clones. … The movements of Emei Kung-fu alternate between fast and slow, deceptive and real. The ultimate goal of practicing kung-fu is not to win or triumph over oneself but to improve through practice. A true master focuses on the fundamentals. Upon the foundation, the house is built.”

Intertwined between these two fabled treasures gave birth to yet another legend … the infamous Jasmine Pearl green tea (sometimes called Dragon Pearls). Our Imperial Grade Premium Jasmine Pearl is a celebration of craftsmanship and patience. It is the most popular among all scented teas. Each is handcrafted by artisans rolling long downy spring fresh tea leaves into little silvery masterfully composed green tea pearls. Now it sits in arctic silence until the baby jasmine flowers are ready to bloom under the warmth of the summer nights. The spring green tea pearls are now released from its hibernation to dance with the fresh baby jasmine blossoms. This party last for seven nights. Each night a new bouquet of jasmine blossoms are invited. When the party ends, the most acclaimed handcrafted tea emerges, the Imperial Grade Premium Jasmine Pearl.
