安溪龙涓鐵觀音

Underneath the heavens, the white velvet clouds bond together like a colossal breaker of surf, and the discontinuous black mountain peaks loomed forth like a whimsical sea. The colors glisten with vivid hues of blended red, orange, purple, blue and crimson stretching long over the horizon. The experience dissolves with every beautiful note. I am where I want to be. Listen and you’ll see. You have arrived at Longjuan Village, Anxi County, Fujian, China, the origin of Anxi Tie Guan Yin Oolong tea.

Anxi Tie Guan Yin Tea (also known as: Ti Kuan Yin, Iron Goddess of Mercy or Iron Buddha) is handcrafted from the specific cultivar that bears its name. Grown in the high mountains of Anxi County, Anxi Tie Guan Yin is the world’s most renowned Oolong tea. The oxidation level rests at 35% giving it the classical jade oolong style. Masterfully composed by a family of multi-generational tea masters, this  Anxi Tie Guan Yin tea is the result of such defining mastery and intricacy. It is peerless and unmatched in every way possible.

It doesn’t happen instantaneously. Give it a moment as the bright yellow-green infusion ebb past the lips and slowly suffuses the palate. Then the enjoyment commences. The silky smooth sensation on the tip of the tongue opens into a parade of enchanting notes of buttery, fruity, and floral refinements. After a touch of opulence, you are greeted with a compilation of finely manicured tannins before ending this symphony with a wonderfully long, layered, textured finish. Each sip is worthy of deep contemplation.

This Anxi Tie Guan Yin Oolong tea is like no other.  For oolong tea epicureans, it is a revelation. For oolong tea dilettantes, it is about discovering an unexpected taste and mouthfeel. This tea stands confidently alone, singular in quality and refinement that transcend a unique sense of place.
